Hunting & Fishing Licenses


Hunting and fishing license may be purchased online or in person at the Blount County Probate Office or at the Hayden Annex. The Outdoor Alabama Website should answer most all your questions regarding the purchase of hunting or fishing license.

If you choose to purchase your license in person at the probate office be sure to bring the following:

  1. Driver license or non-driver photo identification.
  2. If disabled, your awards letter from Social Security Administration dated within one year.

All persons 16 years of age or older must have a valid hunting and fishing license to legally participate in these sports with the exception of hunting or fishing on property privately owned by the participant.

Anyone, including minors age 0-15, hunting over bait must have a special license to legally do so. Minors without driver license or non-driver identification must present their social security card at the time of purchase.
